MVL Standouts Bring Home All-Ohio Awards

Two of the MVL's top teams also featured some of the top players in all of Ohio. The Associated Press voters took notice when compiling their lists of All-Ohio honorees in Divisions III and IV. 

Tri-Valley senior defensive end Johnny Alford received 1st team All-Ohio accolades to headline a cast of six Scotties that earned recogntion in D-III. Meanwhile, Maysville senior defensive back Couger Clarke was a 1st team All-Ohio pick in D-IV. Five more Panthers received mention as well. 

Tri-Valley and Maysville both turned in record-breaking seasons in 2014. The Scotties won a record 4th consective MVL title, went 10-0 for only the 2nd time ever, and led the state in fewest points allowed as they advanced to a D-III Regional semifinal game. The Panthers won 10 games in a season for the first time ever and advanced to week 12 for only the second time in school history.
