OCC Leaders Maintain Top 10 Status, John Glenn Still Perfect

With the state tournament brackets in place and the match-ups settled, its only a matter of time before we find out the true top teams in each division of Ohio boys high school basketball. This week marks the final games of the regular season and not much has changed in the latest Associated Press boys basketball poll. The same familiar names remain among the top in the state rankings.

In Division I, Dublin Coffman (20-1) jumped Huber Heights Wayne (18-3) to move into the 5th spot. The Rocks have at least a share of the OCC-Central Division wrapped up and can claim the title outright with a win at Upper Arlington Friday in their final regular season game. The Bears sit only a game back in the standings at 11-2.

Fresh off a impressive 29-point win over previously ranked Dublin Jerome, Westerville South (19-1) is 7th in the D-I poll. The Wildcats secured the OCC-Cardinal Division title with that win over the Celtics last week.

Gahanna Lincoln (19-2) jumped 8th. The Lions have at least a share of the OCC-Ohio Division under the belt and can win the title outright with a win at rival Pickerington Central on Friday. Newark sits a game back in the standings at 11-2.

In Division II, John Glenn remained unbeaten last week, but the Muskies couldn't move any higher in the rankings with St. Vinvent-St. Mary and Franklin holding the top two spots. The back-to-back MVL champions are still 3rd at 19-0 overall.

Listed below are the complete rankings in each division. This is how a state panel of sports writers and broadcasters rates Ohio high school boys basketball teams in the seventh weekly Associated Press poll of 2014-15. With won-lost record and total points (first-place votes in parentheses).
