OCC Trio Ranked Considered Ohio's Best, John Glenn 7th in D-II

Do the top three Division I boys basketball team reside in the Ohio Capital Conference? The Associated Press voters sure think so. In the latest, and second, statewide poll of the season released, undeafted Gahanna Lincoln, Westerville South, and Dublin Coffman are ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.  

This trio of teams have a combined record of 30-0 and all reside in the Central district. The Lions garnered 14 first-place votes, while the Wildcats picked up two first-place votes. Last week Gahanna knocked off Reynoldsburg and Grove City on the road by a combined 55 points. Westerville South rolled at Dublin Scioto 62-36 and home versus Westerville Central 71-56. Meanwhile, reigning district champion Coffman cruised past Westland and Thomas Worthington by a combined 63 points.

Fellow OCC unbeaten Dublin Jerome (11-0) is ranked 9th in Division I.

In Division II, undefeated John Glenn (10-0) jumped to 7th after convincing wins over New Lexington and rival Tri-Valley. Out of the ECOL, Dover (10-1) is 10th in D-II despite suffering its first loss of the season at Zanesville over the weekend.
